Fusion FC is proud to announce that we have officially partnered with Her Game Too, a UK-wide campaign committed to tackling sexism in football and making the game a more welcoming place for women and girls at every level.
It’s a partnership that reflects who we are as a club, and where we want the game to go.
About Her Game Too
Her Game Too was founded in 2021 by Caz May and Lucy Ford in response to the sexist abuse and discrimination female football fans regularly face in grounds, online, and throughout the game. What started as a small campaign has grown into a national movement, with clubs from the Premier League down to grassroots level signing up to publicly back the cause.
Their mission is straightforward: football is for everyone.
Why This Matters to Fusion
At Fusion FC, inclusion is not a slogan. It’s how we run the club. We have a growing girls’ section and a commitment to creating an environment where every player, parent, and supporter feels they belong.
Partnering with Her Game Too gives us a framework to formalise that commitment. It puts our name alongside hundreds of other clubs across the country who have publicly said: this matters, and we’re going to do something about it.
A Word from Ali Johnson
Our Head of Girls Football, Ali Johnson, has been driving the growth of the girls’ game at Fusion and was central to bringing this partnership over the line.
“Becoming a Her Game Too partner club is a really proud moment for us. Every girl who walks into one of our sessions deserves to feel like she belongs on that pitch. No questions, no caveats. This partnership says exactly that, and it holds us to it.
I got into coaching the girls’ game because of my daughter. Watching her fall in love with football made me realise how important it is that the environment around her matches the talent and enthusiasm she brings to it. Every girl deserves that, and as a club we have a responsibility to make sure it happens.
I want other parents to know: if you’ve ever felt unsure about whether grassroots football is a welcoming place for your daughter, we want to show you that it can be. Come down to a session. See for yourself.”
What This Looks Like in Practice
Being a Her Game Too partner club is not a badge to stick on a website and forget about. It comes with real commitments:
- Visible support: displaying Her Game Too branding across our channels and at sessions, making it clear where the club stands.
- Education and awareness: sharing the campaign’s resources with players, coaches, and parents so everyone understands the why, not just the what.
- A better environment: continuing to build a club culture where every girl and woman, whether player, coach, or supporter, is respected and valued.
- Growing the girls’ game: working alongside Ali and our coaching team to create more opportunities for female players across every age group.

A huge thank you to Her Game Too for the work they do, and for welcoming Fusion FC into the movement. We’re proud to be part of it.
