club history

Fusion Football Club was established in 2003 by Stuart Baxter & Liam Shingler, affiliating to the Essex County Football Association. We have been Members of the Basildon & District Sunday Football League since our formation, gradually rising up through the divisions.

Following moderate early success, the 2006/7 season saw us pick up the Division Two Cup with an excellent win over Outwood Common in the final.

But that was nothing compared to how the 2007/8 season would pan out for Fusion. We stormed to the Division Two title unbeaten in 18 games and reclaimed the Division Two Cup, beating close rivals Bromford Reunion in the final at Bowers & Pitsea. To cap off a fine season, we won the south east Essex area group in the County Cup winning the final 5-0 and reached the grand final against Larsens at Harlow F.C. in front of a big crowd, unfortunately going down 2-0 but only after a marvellous effort from the players.

The 2008/9 season sees the beginning of a new era with the formation of the Fusion B team who will compete in the Basildon league also. Hopefully they can go on to become as successful as the A team...
